Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Scales?
Talia Neely-Sanfilippo (2018-06-03 19:52:24)
A neighbor made a large, spinning prize wheel for his child's birthday. I've re-purposed it with the spinning prize wheel being able to land on the new options of: scales in most keys, an arpeggio, an inversions, a chromatic, or a special treat. The students love spinning it and wait in anticipation for what they might get or have to play at each lesson. There is the option for making each option easy, medium, hard, (and even sugar-free!) depending on what they land on. They get as many spins that day as I feel they need to get started or as a break during the lesson. Double rolls on the same thing equal more octaves or another level of difficulty on the second time.
